During the 2008 election we ran a story on the Obama campaign plane and it’s new paint job with the new logo on the tail. But today we have another story on the new Airplane that Barack Obama uses in his official capacity as President. It is one of the Official Boeing 747 planes that comprise the official Presidential Transportation Force.

It appears that someone in the Federal Government decided there was not enough pictures of an Air Force One plane flying past the Statue of Liberty. So they decide they need a new picture. Taken with it flying past the prior site of the World Trade Center, with Jet Fighters chasing it, during rush hour on a weekday. Your Government dollars at work.

Some ideas for thought:

Why Fly a commercial Plane over NYC that suffered through 9/11?

Why waste the peoples money on a photo op in a weak economy with HUGE deficit spending?

Why not have one F-16 in front to show that the flight path was planned and not a pursuit?

Why not alert the general public in NYC before this happened?

Why send email alerts at 10:38 when this happened at 10:02 am?

Why not have this happen on a weekend?

Why wasn’t Governor Bloomberg aware or even asked if this was ok?

Why is the Federal Government keeping Obama out of the loop?

Why risk people having anxiety attacks for something as silly as a photo op?

Why fly at, near, and level with buildings that are occupied with people who lived through 9/11?

Lots of questions so far on this and few answers.
