Fox News Donations compiled, being researched, Article Soon…

Back in January we wrote our first article on Fox News and the viewed hypocrisy of their donations compared to their image that they love to push. While doing some basic background investigation 6 months ago, I noticed a lot of interest in Hillary Clinton from Rupert Murdoch. I checked fec.gov and noticed he donated to Mrs. Clinton. And then we checked a few of their top executives and noticed the same.

It appeared to me that they were pushing Clinton. And ignoring all Republican candidates.

So I decided to tell a few people. They were surprised but skeptical. This is like someone screaming “I want more proof, which is easy to understand”. Ok fine, I decided to research the whole company to see who they donate to.

The result was that Fox News donations are 22 more likely to donate to Democrats rather than Republicans.

This shocked many people so much, that while I showed the exact spreadsheet that was compiled, and where I got the data people think I must be mistaking Senate donations with Presidential campaign donations.

I am quite proud of that article and think it is one of the best pieces on Ron Paul Blogs.

I am also happy to announce that the 4th quarter 2007 data and even into 2008 presidential donations have been gathered and are currently being analyzed. We expect to show the true nature of News Corporation and hypothesize what has happened and if they have tried to change their perception, possibly even because of our original article. Some things we will try to discuss:

  • How long did News Corp support Clinton despite her sliding polls?
  • Do they support Obama since he has received the nomination?
  •  Have they started to support McCain more? other Republicans before McCain locked nomination?
  • What exactly will be the political leanings of Fox News and News Corp in the future?

Stay Tuned!
