After weeks of speculation and a few days of poll numbers that suggest Obama is slipping to McCain at least right now Obama has named his VP running mate.

It is Joe Biden the longtime Senator from Delaware. He seems to be a good choice as he gives a strong, older, balance to the Obama – Biden Ticket. He has been in politics for a long time. In fact he was voted into Senate office in 1972 when he was barely 30 years old. The minimum to be a Senator by law is 30. So not only did he get in very early but he won his first attempt.
