Ron Paul spambots to be outdone by the McCain blogbots?
Michelle Malkin has written an interesting post about the latest attempt of McCain to get ready for the General Election. His website is encouraging people to blog about McCain.
I have followed Ron Pauls campaign for months and have never gotten any emails or requests like this from Ron Pauls campaign. Setting up this website, promoting it, hosting it, and giving others free political blogging platforms was all my idea.
This seems weird that McCain thinks he has the type of support to get people to even spend 5 minutes spamming for him. What good things are they supposed to talk about? Corrupt lobbyists filling his campaign staff? Dumping his disabled first wife? McCain-Feingold restricting free speech? A scary temper? Advancing age and questionable health?
The more I think about this it almost sounds like he might be violating campaign laws. He should know about that. He is already viloating the McCain-Feingold Act with his spending and backing loans with federal funds. Campaigns cannot legally direct people to do things for a campaign.
My guess is that few people will post postive comments about him.
He will lose bad in the general election. Remember he is already the presumptive nominee and is only getting about 73% of the GOP vote in several states in the last few weeks. About 30% of the GOP are saying “Not McCain”.
And Hillary AND Obama both get around double to triple the number of voters that McCain is getting.
We have met the GOP loser in this campaign and it it McCain.
