President Bush Quotes from CPAC Conservative Political Action Committee Meeting
If you have a strong stomach you can see the intro video here.
Notice it was covered Live and is a “Fox News Alert”. Wow it is amazing what passes for big news on Fox.
Or read the full transcript here.
Otherwise some of the most humorous quotes followed by my comments:
“We’ve had good debates and soon we’ll have a nominee who will carry a conservative banner into this election and beyond.”
So he is basically stating he is endorsing McCain. Personally I would never want a President with a 30% Approval rating to endorse me.
“And I appreciate the fact you invited Vice President Cheney here. He is the best Vice President in history.”
OMG This is tough to even talk about. Do we really need to? Some say he was the worst vice president ever. 4 thousand American troops killed, 25,000 wounded, a Trillion dollars wasted, insane foreign policies. We could go on and on.
“…we have advanced a philosophy of freedom and responsibility that’s made our nation a better place and a stronger place.”
Not likely. We have had insane responsibility; stomped on all freedoms American and otherwise while making the entire world to hate us.
“We’re reducing wasteful spending.”
In Social Programs while Military spending is higher than ever.
“The Afghan people braved threats of violence to elect a new President.”
Who has said himself he is a USA puppet.
“We’ll fight the enemy overseas, so we do not have to face them here at home.”
Great Idea, unless they decide to hide in the 250 countries we haven’t invaded yet. Or just not fight with the troops they see and buy a plane ticket to the USA.
“On America’s role in the world, some believe that our nation is often the cause of global turmoil.”
Because we bully the UN so we can attack more countries, install the Wolfowitz as Chairman of the World Bank, threaten to nuke countries as a first strike option, promote coups on those who help their regions.
“I appreciate the volunteer work you did in two tough campaigns.”
They were so tough that voter roll purging and other tricks had to be used to win 2000 and 2004. But thanks for equating Republicans with vote fraud!
